Is Australia gaining popularity as a film destination for Tamil movies? The latest in the line is upcoming Tamil romantic thriller “Maha Maha”, which has been filmed in Sydney and its surrounding towns. It’s not just the location, the movie also showcases new talent from Australia. While the movie stars Nilalgal Ravi, Anupama Kumar and Meera Krishnan, there are several Indian Australians who have been cast in the film.
Maha Maha has been edited by Suresh Urs, who won National Award for editing for the movie “Bombay” directed by Maniratnam. Murgesh who won the National Award for sound effects for the movie “Kadalan” directed by Shankar, has worked on “Maha Maha”.
Prolific composer Ilayaraja’s nephew Pavalar Shiva has done music for the movie. “The movie is both educational and entertaining,” says the film’s director and lead star Mathivanan.
“Maha Maha” movie teasers have been released on YouTube and the movie is to hit the screens in the next few months.
