International Society for Krishna Consciousness ISKCON in Melbourne has announced celebrations for Sri Krishna Janmastami. Festivities — darshan, arati and abhishekam — extend throughout the weekend of 5-6 September, which means those who follow the Hindu calendar can choose to celebrate on Saturday and those who follow the Vaishnava calendar can celebrate on Sunday.
Prasadam and snacks are available from 1 pm on Saturday or 11 am on Sunday. Each evening you can enjoy a cultural program of song, dance and drama featuring devotee children.

Hare Krishna Melbourne is at 197 Danks St. Albert Park. You can take Tram 12 from the CBD or St Kilda. Stop 136 (cnr. Mills and Danks St.) is just a block east of the Temple.
To help everyone avoid parking fines on 6 September, every ten minutes two free twenty-five seater shuttle buses will ferry guests between Danks St. and Lakeside Carpark where there is ample parking space. Buses will run from 6 till 11pm.
