How brothers Sanjiv and Raman Bhalla became the go-to people to build wealth
If you ask the Bhalla brothers what’s topmost on their mind, they would tell you it’s how to grow money. Not their own wealth as much as someone else’s. And it’s this single-minded passion that has helped the two financial consultants, and founders of RSB Hexagon, give their clients the most customised service when it comes to wealth management. And while they were at it, create a successful business in the process.
RSB Hexagon, which they built from the ground up, is a multidisciplinary firm involved in providing specialised and solution based services for accounting/tax, home loans and real estate. With offices in Kellyville Ridge and Bondi Junction, it is one of the fastest growing practices in the area.
“We have a team of specialists who focus on understanding the goals of every client and work towards providing customised solutions,” says Sanjiv Bhalla, the younger of the two brothers, who were born and brought up in the industrial town of Ludhiana, India.
“We ensure clients are serviced by professionals who have previously worked with the top investment banks, finance houses and in the real estate industry,” says the experienced and qualified finance professional, who in the last 17 years, has built a profile in the local Sydney community.
A chartered accountant and CPA by profession, Sanjiv also holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Sydney, and has worked in the Finance area for the last 17 years.
He has built a highly respected and professional profile, sharing his wisdom, knowledge and heart for helping others. Sanjiv is the person you can trust when it comes to financial solutions. When it comes to serving the community, Sanjiv is at the front of the line. A Justice of The Peace and a domestic and family violence councillor, he is always eager to assist those in need.
Elder brother Raman is an active member of the Australian Indian community in Sydney, and apart from RSB Hexagon, he also owns a corporate advisory business—Proactive CFOs and Business Advisors Pty Ltd. Raman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a fellow of CPA Australia, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Raman has been able to develop extensive list of contacts in business and banking circles in various countries including Australia, US, China, Hong Kong and India.
Raman also has extensive contacts in the political arena of the Liberal Party. He ran for the NSW State seat of Blacktown in 2015 as a Liberal candidate.
“Before founding my own business, I spent a number of years in investment banking, corporate advisory, financial management and corporate governance in Australia and overseas with leading international investment banks. That was what gave me the expertise in raising capital through public offering, private equity and through debt instruments,” says Raman, who has substantial experience in setting up business structures, board reporting, investor relations and successfully executing the transactions in real estate, funds management, agriculture and a number of other industry sectors.
Raman also acts as non-executive director and company secretary for private companies and not-for-profit organisations.
A regular speaker at media forums on economic and financial challenges facing businesses and on government’s economic policy positions, Raman is also an active contributor to the community by leading and participating in various social and community events. He was the program director of the biggest Deepavali Festival in Sydney in 2013. He started Deepavali @ Martin Place in 2012 which is one of the premier events in Sydney multicultural calendar. He was also part of the NSW Multicultural Deepavali advisory committee.
An avid golfer, Raman, a father of two, also has keen interest in cricket and rugby.
Sanjiv meanwhile, loves to travel whenever he gets time off. A seasoned traveller, this father of two, has travelled all over the world ranging from Asia to USA to Europe. Up next is a trip to Fiji where his wife was born. “South America is also on the bucket list,” says Sanjiv, who incidentally, plays badminton.
Adding to his exciting and on the go lifestyle, Sanjiv loves to take his Volvo out on long country drives.
