SEOUL, South Korea, July 2, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Sungrow, the global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, announced that the Company obtained the KS certificate issued by KEA (Korea Energy Agency) for its full range of commercial string inverters including SG33CX, SG50CX and SG110CX, becoming the world’s first company that got the full C&I portfolio KS certified, consolidating its position in the South Korean C&I market and accelerating its commitment to the carbon-free future of the country. Sungrow Commercial PV Inverters Received KS Certificates The KS (Korean Industrial Standards) is known as one of the world’s most demanding and complicated codes, bringing challenges to industry players. It’s set to inspect not only the high safety and performance of products but considerable parameters regarding the corporate management system, quality and service system, in a bid to maintain a competitive and healthy local marketplace. It will become the compulsory code for the grid-connection in South Korea from this July. The KS-certified commercial inverter solutions are increasingly capturing a high demand due to the unmatched performance. The KS poses stricter requirements on the product’s performance on high-voltage resistance, thermal resistance and anti-corrosion. Equipped with an optimal protection level of IP66 and anti-corrosion grade of C5, Sungrow’s commercial portfolio is resilient to harsh conditions, such as the coastal area and highly-polluted industrial park. Featuring multiple MPPTs, the solution is ideal to address the demands of different terrains. According to an announcement from KEA, Sungrow is the only non-Korean inverter supplier that received the KS certificate of combiner box integrated inverter yet. Just as South Korea develops into a more decarbonized society, KSA is preparing for the future of evolving technologies and emerging trends. “The KS certificate we received indicates another milestone we made in the compliance with local grid codes. We strongly believe that it comes with more opportunities and ventures regarding commercial PV installations in South Korea,” said Hoseob Kim, Country Manager of Sungrow Korea. South Korea outlines fresh incentives to prioritize renewable projects with a low carbon footprint, higher efficiency and stricter industry codes. With the local branch established two years ago, Sungrow remains a pivotal player with a comprehensive local team offering technical support, sales and after-sale service. It’s reported that the Company’s shipment in this nation had hit 1GW till now and the amount is expected to mount. The latest innovations are to be on display at the Green Energy Expo (July 15-17, 2020) and reach a global audience by live-streaming on-site.
