Maithili Thakur set to headline ALWAYS LIVE opening weekend

ALWAYS LIVE is gearing up for its most electrifying edition yet, with the opening weekend set to feature 24 events that will kick off 17 days of non-stop music across Victoria. Among the biggest draws is Indian sensation Maithili Thakur, who will make her highly anticipated Australian debut at Margaret Court Arena on 1 December. Known for her captivating fusion of classical and folk music, Maithili’s performance is one of the standout highlights in a program featuring over 100 shows and more than 400 artists.

ALWAYS LIVE, presented by the State Government through Visit Victoria, will take over venues across metro and regional locations from 22 November to 8 December. The festival is set to offer music lovers a range of experiences, from sold-out headline acts to free, family-friendly events.

Maithili’s debut in Australia promises to be a show-stopper, combining her unique repertoire of original songs, captivating covers, and traditional folk tunes in a vibrant mix of Indic languages and English. Her performance at the iconic Margaret Court Arena will no doubt be a highlight of the festival, showcasing her ability to connect with a diverse audience.
