SCAFF 2024 is back to celebrate diversity & migrants through films

The Seven Colors Australian Film Festival (SCAFF) is back for its 12th edition, set to dazzle audiences from 6th to 8th December 2024. This vibrant festival celebrates Cultural Diversity, International Migrants Day, and Bodhi Day, while honouring the legacy of its esteemed patrons, the late Yash Chopra and Pamela Chopra.

Opening Night Spectacle – 6 December

The festivities kick off on Friday, 6 December, from 5 PM to 11 PM at the Glen Eira Town Hall – Auditorium. Over 150 performers and filmmakers from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Greece, Russia, China, Nepal, Egypt, Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia, and India, will deliver five hours of non-stop entertainment. Expect a dazzling showcase of:

  • Film screenings
  • Dance and music performances
  • Fashion shows and drumming acts
  • Live bands and a feature film casting call announcement

Free Entry & Festive Attractions: The evening also offers free entry for the public to enjoy a delightful array of culinary dishes from food trucks, visit stalls featuring jewellery, clothing, and other goods, and immerse in the cultural celebration.

Closing Day Highlights – 8 December

On Sunday, 8 December, the festival concludes with a virtual Zoom Film Panel Discussion from 10 AM to 12 PM on “How to Become a Movie Star”. Industry experts from the Australian and Indian film sectors will share insights and tips with aspiring actors, opening doors to the world of film, TV, and media.

Fostering Global Cultural Ties

SCAFF 2024 continues its mission to strengthen cultural and artistic ties between Victoria, Australia, India, and the global creative community. The festival not only celebrates local talent but also recognises contributions with framed certificates for individuals who have supported SCAFF since its inception.
